For Young People in the Community

Young People in a Community Group During a Financial Education Money Workshop

What We Can Offer

Only 47% of Young People say that they have received Financial Education at home or at school. That means far too many Young People, particularly those in disadvantaged or vulnerable situations, are growing up without the skills, knowledge and confidence to make good financial decisions for themselves now and in the future.

That’s where we come in, with our engaging, interactive and fun Financial Education Money Workshops reaching over 300,000 young people since 2010. Our wide range of Workshops are ready-made for charities and community groups working with Young People. We have previously delivered to groups supporting young refugees, young people with a cancer diagnosis, care leavers, young carers, Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Learning Provisions, Young Offending Institutions and many more.

You can look through all our different Workshop options in our Workshops Guide. When surveyed, more than 95% of Young People said that they felt they could manage their money well following Workshops and 73% said they will talk to those around them about money often.

What Do The Workshops Involve?

Our Workshops help make personal finances not just an important topic, but also a fun one! They cover the essentials of staying on top of your money, including using money to achieve your goals, savings, tax, how to read a payslip, understanding credit, as well as financial products like banking and student finance.

Each Workshop includes a range of interactive activities, the chance to debate and discuss, and relevant takeaways. Take a look at our Workshops Guide to find out more.

All of our Workshops are:

  • Suitable for groups of Young People, maximum 40 per Workshop, aged 7-19. (If your group are slightly older/younger, please do get in touch as we are able to adapt delivery if required.)
  • Available for delivery face-to-face or virtually (by Zoom.)
  • Workshops can fit around your timetable, lasting from 45 minutes up to a full day.
  • Delivered in a flexible or bespoke way to suit your needs.
  • Delivered either by our experienced staff or our team of expert freelance Consultants.
  • Fully independent and impartial. The only thing you’ll ever hear promoted at a Money Workshop is our work!

Take a look at our Workshops Guide to see all our options!

What Do They Cost?

We are able to offer fully-funded (free-of-charge) Workshops for some charities and community organisations, but please get in touch to find out more. Schools and colleges should click here.
