The Money Charity Welcomes Its First Youth Advisory Board

On Saturday 4 July, we welcomed members of The Money Charity’s first Youth Advisory Board for their first meeting.

The Youth Advisory Board is an exciting new project, established by our Children and Young People team. It brings together young people to help us shape what they want and need to know about managing their money well, ensuring young people’s voices and experiences are reflected in our vital Financial Education work.

As part of the first meeting, the Children and Young People team introduced our programme and organised welcome activities. The board members were invited to build LEGO models representing themselves and what they thought Financial Capability looked like. They also shared thoughtful and creative feedback on how we can make our content more engaging, as well as what they are most excited about for the work ahead.

Throughout the meeting, we were impressed by their enthusiasm, ideas and willingness to contribute, and we look forward to working alongside them as the project develops.
