Our thanks to Bushara for five great years

The Money Charity would like to share the news that Bushara Awan (nee Raja) our Head of Young People Programmes will be leaving the charity on the 25th September to take up a new role with the Money Advice Service.

Michelle Highman, Chief Executive said:

“Bushara has been integral to the growth and success of our young people work over the last five years.  In particular, in our work in schools, she has overseen the growth of our direct delivery workshops by 500% in that time, meaning we now reach 30,000 students, through over 1100 workshops, a year. The Student Money Manual has also blossomed into the must-have guide to student finance and money management over that period and now reaches over half a million students a year.  Both are significant achievements of which she should be proud.

We are very grateful for all Bushara’s hard work and dedication over the last five years and wish her well in her new role. She will be a hard act to follow!

As such, we will be recruiting a new Head of Young People Programmes to succeed Bushara shortly.”
