Key Stage 4 Money Workshop

We offer five standard hour long workshops and three standard 100 minute workshops for Key Stage 4 students aged 14 – 16; the KS4 a, b, c, and d Money Workshops (60 minutes) and the KS4 x and y Money Workshops (100 minutes).

60 minute options

KS4a Money Workshop

Our KS4a Money workshop helps students understand the importance of planning ahead with their finances, in particular it covers:

  • Putting financial plans in place to help you achieve your goals;

The KS4b Money Workshop

Our KS4b Money Workshop builds on the content from the previous workshops and helps students understand savings to reach goals and credit, in particular it covers:

  • Understanding what credit is, where you can get it and what APR stands for;
  • The importance of saving – understanding AER, choosing a savings account and NISAs.
  • Tax and National Insurance.

KS4c, d and e Money Workshop

Our KS4c, d and e Money Workshops all build on the content from the previous workshops and help students understand different financial products and how they help achieve your goals:

  • KS4c explains Tax and National Insurance, how Insurance is used and why it is important
  • KS4d explains Pensions, and saving for your retirement, mortgages, and what you need to save and how mortgages work.

100 minute options

KS4 X Money Workshop

Our KS4 X Money workshop helps students understand the importance of planning ahead with their finances, in particular it covers:

  • Setting long term and short term goals;
  • Putting financial plans in place to help you achieve your goals;
  • Tax and National Insurance;
  • Understanding what credit is, where you can get it and what APR stands for.

The KS4 Y Money Workshop

Our KS4 Y Money Workshop builds on the content from the previous workshops and helps students understand the difference between saving and credit, in particular it covers:

  • The importance of saving – understanding AER and choosing a savings account;
  • Understanding what insurance is and how to get it.
  • Pensions – What they are and why they are important.
  • Mortgages – What you need to save and how they work.

If you have the time, we would suggest signing up for all the standard workshops to ensure your students benefit from as much of the available content as possible. We would be happy to come back and visit your school more than once in the year to allow for this. If not – then the workshops can be delivered as standalone.

Contact us today to request a workshop. Please make sure you have read and understood our terms and conditions before you book. Sending us your request form will constitute acceptance of our terms and conditions. You can download our Booking Request Form and terms and conditions here. We will be in touch shortly to arrange your session. In normal circumstances, we ask that you give us at least 3 weeks notice to arrange the workshop.  This should give us sufficient time to provide your school with a presenter or volunteer. However if you want something sooner than that, you can contact Shirin Marashi and we will do our best to accommodate you.
